OptiMax DRENA CELL performs a TRIPLE ACTION:
1. COMBATING CELLULITE INESTRACTIONS - Centella and Pineapple
2. LIQUID DRAINAGE - Birch, Golden Rod, Horsetail
3. MICROCYCLE FUNCTIONALITY - Red Vine
Counteracting cellulite
Cellulite is a typically female disorder, consisting of a degenerative framework involving the adipose tissue, connective tissue, blood and lymph vessels, and leading to the formation of so-called 'orange peel' skin with the much detested unsightly pads and 'pits'.
If the blood and lymph circulation is insufficient or not functioning properly, the fat cells suffer and tend to rupture; their contents leak into the space between the cells, drawing in more water, compressing the microcirculation and preventing it from functioning properly, increasing inflammation.
Fluid drainage
Water retention is defined as a condition in which the body has a tendency to retain and accumulate fluid. Poor diet, a sedentary lifestyle, stress, hormonal imbalances, weight gain and cellulite can all contribute to accentuate a situation of retention, thus causing the appearance of oedemas, which make the skin less toned and firm, and of course also the widespread bloating sensation, perceived more in the abdomen and legs.
Functionality of the microcirculation
The microcirculation is an extremely important part of the human body's blood circulation. It consists of a dense network of small vessels that branch out in every region of the body and have the important task of bringing nourishment and oxygen to the cells and transporting waste out of the cells, in close cooperation with the lymphatic system. A malfunctioning of both these systems inevitably affects the health of the cells, risking leading to situations of fluid stagnation and even to inflammatory states that result in the appearance of cellulite.

Centella (Centella asiatica (L.) Urb.)
Dry extract of Centella titrated at 3% terpenes
Perennial herbaceous plant, belonging to the Apiaceae family and widespread in the humid tropical and subtropical regions of India and South America. It is widely used in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine.
Parts used: The aerial part of the plant, rich in functional principles such as triterpenes and derivatives, tannins, flavonoids, is used.
Properties: the trophic-healing and vasotonic action is mainly due to the compounds of terpenic nature, particularly to asiaticoside; by favouring the use of amino acids constituting the connective tissues (proline, hydroxyproline, alanine) it acts by strengthening the walls of the vascular endothelium, exerting a beneficial action on the microcirculation.
Indications: thanks to these properties, it is used in the treatment of cellulite, an imperfection linked precisely to inefficient microcirculation.
